In recent years, the Westside church of Christ has been thankful for several opportunities to serve the Midland community and share the message of Christ. The congregation has developed a relationship with Premier Charter School in Midland, helping Junior High and High School students learn more about Jesus and His church. The school has also held its High School graduation ceremonies in our building on two occasions.
The church has also organized a school supply drive to assist families in Midland who may be facing financial challenges, helping ensure that students have the materials they need for a successful school year.
Another outreach effort is our Give-Away Day, when the congregation provides clothing, small appliances, and other household goods to members of the community who may be in need. This effort helps meet practical needs while also creating opportunities to share the love of Christ.
In addition, special seminars and Gospel Meetings are held to encourage spiritual growth and invite the community to study the Bible. It is also common to hear of members engaged in one-on-one Bible studies with those who want to learn more about God’s Word.
