Our special series, “Christ, the Cross & the Church” with Hiram Kemp begins this Friday evening at 7 PM (September 12). Much has been said about it in recent months. Here’s a few last-minute considerations to think about –
Have I prayed that God greatly be praised and glorified through this special effort? (Ephesians 1:6, 12, 14).
Have I made a special effort to invite at least 1 or more persons? Is my enthusiasm for this effort genuine and obvious? (cf. 1 Corinthians 15:58).
Am I going to make every effort to be present throughout the Gospel Meeting myself? (cf. Hebrews 10:22-25).
Have I prayed for the safe and timely arrival of Hiram and Brittani, for their good health throughout their time with us, and for their family’s health and safety while they are away from them?
Will I be fully engaged in the worship of God? Will I sing God’s praise with passion and understanding, pray fervently, listen in view of eternity and humble myself in the presence of our holy Lord and Savior? (cf. Psalm 29:2; John 4:24).
Will I make that “extra effort” to welcome guests with a smile and warm greeting? Will our guests understand we really are grateful that they took their time to be with us at Westside?
Have I thanked our shepherds in advance for planning and encouraging this special effort on behalf of Westside and our community?
