Truth often is maligned, misunderstood, minimized or mocked. God, however, is very concerned about our attitude toward truth. Its importance is seen in the following –
We ought to KNOW the truth (John 8:31-32).
We ought to LOVE the truth (2 Thessalonians 2:10).
We ought to PRACTICE the truth in our daily lives (2 Corinthians 4:1-2).
We ought to SEE Jesus as the Embodiment of truth (John 1:14-18).
We ought to OBEY the truth (Galatians 5:7).
We ought not to WANDER or STRAY from the truth (James 5:19-20).
We ought to SPEAK the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15).
We ought to see the gospel as the MESSAGE of truth (Ephesians 1:13).
We ought to WALK in truth (3 John 4).
We ought to WORSHIP in spirit and truth (John 4:24).
We ought to SERVE in sincerity and truth (Joshua 24:14).
We ought to remember that God the Holy Spirit has GIVEN us truth through the teaching of the apostles (John 16:13-15).
We ought to BUY and NOT SELL the truth (Proverbs 23:23).
We ought to diligently STUDY the word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15).
We ought to understand the severity of things when there’s a LACK of truth (Jeremiah 7:28; Psalm 52:1-4).
