Due to the weather and road conditions the elders at Westside church of Christ have decided to cancel Bible Classes for Wednesday, February 1st.
Since we are not meeting for class this evening, please consider and meditate upon the following scriptures as part of your personal devotion this evening. They are on the topic of waiting on the LORD. Note that they are commands and not just suggestions. As you meditate upon them consider how you might include them in prayer to our ever merciful Father.
“I will praise You forever,
Because You have done it;
And in the presence of Your saints
I will wait on Your name, for it is good.”
Why should we wait on the LORD? For HIS name is good! May HIS praise ever be on our lips.
“Indeed, let no one who waits on You be ashamed;
Let those be ashamed who deal treacherously without cause.
Show me Your ways, O LORD;
Teach me Your paths.
Lead me in Your truth and teach me,
For You are the God of my salvation;
On You I wait all the day.”
“Let integrity and uprightness preserve me,
For I wait for You.”
Simply, we need not be ashamed as we wait on the LORD for that waiting leads us to truth, salvation, integrity and uprightness.
“Wait on the LORD;
Be of good courage,
And He shall strengthen your heart;
Wait, I say, on the LORD!”
Simply, as we wait on the LORD with courage, HE will strengthen our hearts. That’s a promise!
From one of your shepherds.
LORD willing, we will see each other on the LORD’s Day!!
